Work Required in Intertidal Area: Work was completed within marine water intertidal. The scope of work included replacing a damaged bulkhead with a new granite rock bulkhead and constructing a granite rock retaining wall landward of the bulkhead to secure the property and protect the home from damage. Precast concrete steps were built into the bulkhead to provide access to the beach. All work was completed with machines and equipment accessing the site by barge. Work was completed in 2008.

The scope of work included reconstructing an existing basalt rock bulkhead with new granite rock to protect the single family residence. Precast concrete steps were built into the bulkhead for access to the beach. All work was completed with machines and equipment accessing the site by barge. Work was completed in Summer 2013.

Approximate Project Area (acres): +/-1 Acre

Scope of work: Replace existing rock revetment with a new rock bulkhead, replace the old wood and concrete bulkhead with a new rock bulkhead and extend the bulkhead south by 40’ to protect James Way access to owners’ homes. Total project +/-550’ and resulted in a net gain of upper intertidal habitat. Rock steps were installed for beach access. Improved drainage on the slope also installed per engineer. Work was completed in Winter 2018.
